- Safari, Chrome, Firefox, calendar, calls, Shortcuts and in-app browsers read as in MVT; app permissions and VPNs from the sysdiagnose

Used phones, check-in & check-out
An A/B/C grade with the reasons, and proof of how the phone came in.

Clear results, in plain words.
Every iRepair Shield finding says why it was flagged and how sure it is. Your customer sees the reason, not just a red badge.
Behavioural detection. Hidden apps holding accessibility, device admin, SMS or location are flagged with every reason listed, plus known-malware hashes and spyware indicators.
Two levels on iPhone. A quick check of apps, profiles and crash reports in seconds, or the full encrypted backup analysed on your PC. The backup is deleted when the analysis ends (after an interrupted analysis, at the next start of the app) and the password is never stored.
Nearly 30 fields read from the phone. Model, serial, IMEI, battery health and cycles, iOS build, Activation Lock and Find My, MDM supervision, SIM and carrier.
Restore from the bench. Only Apple-signed firmware, verified by checksum; steps and the live log on one screen, then activation with Apple's server and a data-erasure certificate for the customer.
Why it restarts, in seconds. The latest panic logs first, the missing sensor decoded into the part to check first, plus low-battery shutdowns and resets.
Proof of how the phone came in. Check-in saves the hardware scan, restarts, Knox and bootloader; check-out compares them and the PDF shows what got worse.

Activation Lock you can trust
Read from the phone itself, and shown as unknown rather than "off" when iOS doesn't say.

Screen, rear and front cameras, Face ID, sensors, battery and Wi-Fi. A blank screen serial is flagged to check.

Read the same iPhone again after a repair and Shield lists the parts whose serial changed.

Photos, messages, contacts, backups and the app list never leave your computer. Only this goes online:
- The licence check with the phone's IMEI for one-phone licences
- SHA-256 hashes of APK files only the hashes, for the online hash check
- Anonymous usage statistics can be switched off in Settings → Privacy
- The IMEI blacklist check optional, only when you run it
- Online report verification report ID, fingerprint, title, date, shop name, phone model and the last 4 IMEI digits; can be switched off
- The daily threat database signed, downloaded from GitHub
Analysed locally
Photos, messages, contacts, backups and app lists are analysed and saved only on your computer.
Backup deleted, password never kept
The iPhone backup Shield makes is deleted when the analysis ends; if the analysis is interrupted, what is left is removed the next time the app starts. Its password is used on the PC and never sent anywhere.
No shell, allow-listed commands
Only approved ADB and libimobiledevice commands run. iPhone tools are checked against a signed manifest.
Signed daily updates
Signatures and indicators are published every day with an Ed25519 signature. An offline set is always included.
GDPR-minded history
Scan history masks IMEIs, is deleted after 30 days by default (changeable in Settings) and can be cleared with one click. PDFs you save stay where you save them.
Licences that work offline
Activation creates a signed token tied to your PC that also works offline. Shop licences never send the IMEI of the phones you check; APK hashes and anonymous statistics go online as for every user.

A threat database anyone can check.
The malware signatures, APK hashes, stalkerware and mercenary-spyware indicators, stalkerware signing certificates and per-model update data used by iRepair Shield live in a public archive on GitHub, rebuilt and signed (Ed25519) automatically every day. The software only accepts updates with a valid signature.

If you think someone is watching you
Removing a spy app can alert the person who installed it. We talk it through with you first and never say "delete it now". A clean result lowers the suspicion, but no check can prove a phone is free of every spyware.
